Information on Rocket ML Bonbibi

The second half of our tour, we will travel to the South West Coast and the Sundarbans. We will be catching a plane from Dhaka to Jessore and then transferring by air conditioned mini bus to the coast at town of Mongla. Here we will stop for lunch before boarding a rocket boat which will be our home for 3 nights. We will be using non-motorised wooden boats for birding along creeks.

The rocket will be a small vessel, ML Bonbibi, which we will have exclusively for the use of our group. As a smaller vessel it is also better for accessing birding areas.

It has 6 twin cabins, with bunk beds and so can accommodate up to 12 people. The bathrooms use a fresh water supply for the showers and local water for the toilet flushes. There will be eight members of crew on the vessel.

The vessel is equipped with life buoys and life jackets, which we recommend are kept in cabins and which will be transferred to the wooden boats. There is also a speedboat and a rowing boat, which can be used as life boats in case of emergency.

In terms of meals, we have a sample menu below for anyone who would like to see it, setting out  the meals offered.  We will ensure that there is cereal available for breakfast and at least one vegetarian dish always available.  Tea and coffee will be available 06.30 - 21.30 and snacks provided 10.00-11.00 and 16.30 - 17.30.   If you have any dietary requirements, then please let us know and we will try to accommodate this as far as possible.
